Maria in the Press!

I just finished re-designing the logo for “Curtis Creative Spaces”, the online gallery from Curtis Memorial Library in Brunswick!

Here’s an official blog post by Digital Services Librarian Michael Gorzka documenting the whole process!

My two paintings in the 2015 “Joy of Art” show at Topsham Public Library (“Sage’s Butterfly and “View from the Pedestrian Swinging Bridge”, pictured lower left and lower right) made it into the February issue of The Cryer!

I donated a tiny painting (entitled “Lilac Bud”) to Curtis Memorial Library for a raffle!

Flyers were hung all over town; this one was hanging in the window of Gulf of Maine Books!

I’m excited to be on the cover of the Topsham Public Library’s annual report!

The photo of me with my painting, “This Is The Year” (after which they named the annual report), was taken at the library’s “Joy Of Art” show in January 2012.

The caption beneath the image reads:

“Artist Maria Castellano-Usery’s painting, This Is The Year, expresses the spirit of the annual report – NOW!”

front page Gorham Times

I am pictured above right, on the front page of the Gorham Times, as part of a story on the Gorham Art Fair. Here is an excerpt from the article:

Several hundred people of all ages attended the Second Annual Gorham Art Fair which included 36 local artists and four live music sets. Many artists commented it was their busiest sales event of the year. The Gorham Food Pantry raised over $800 from the silent auction; other charitable organizations present were Habitat for Humanity and a GMS student group who were raising funds to donate toward home heating assistance. Thanks to the art enthusiasts who attended. The organizers are already planning for next years’ Gorham Art Fair.
